Product Description
Battery Nail Penetrating Tester - Model KP-6055-B
This high-current remote shortcircuiter is engineered for comprehensive battery short circuit testing, meeting international standards including GB, IEC, EN, UN38.3, UL, and QC/T specifications for energy vehicles and lithium traction battery performance testing.
Product Overview
Designed to achieve internal resistance ≤100mΩ for maximum short circuit current, this tester features industrial DC electromagnetic contactors, copper terminals, and internal copper plate guides. The system ensures efficient heat dissipation, secure short-circuiting, reduced test device loss, and accurate data collection.
Compliance Standards
GB, IEC, EN, UN38.3, UL1642/UL2054, QC/T 742-2006, QC/T 743-2006, and others. Post-test observation after 6 hours requires external enclosure temperature ≤170℃. Qualified batteries show no integration or cracking.
Key Features
High-Current DC Contactor
  • DC working voltage up to 660V for connection/disconnection safety
  • Rated working voltage: 1000A
  • Planar structure with electromagnetic system and main contact arc-extinguishing system
  • Red copper main contacts for low resistance and quick response
  • Reliable operation with long service life and easy maintenance
Remote Control System
  • Wireless long-distance control capability
  • Self-lock and interlock functions for operational stability
  • Strong anti-jamming features and extended service life
Precision Measurement Instruments
  • Voltmeter: 0-100V range with F.S ±0.2% rdg ±1 digit accuracy
  • Ammeter: Dual ranges 0-500A and 0-1000A with same high accuracy
  • Double integral action mode for precise readings
Complete Test Configuration
Full instrument set includes high-current short circuit contactor, remote control, voltmeter, ammeter, and accessories. Testing conducted in separate laboratories with viewing windows for data recording.

International Standard Testing Procedures
External Short Circuit at Normal Temperature
Fully charge battery per specifications and place at 20℃±5. After temperature stabilization and 30-minute placement, connect opposite and negative poles with wire ensuring 80mΩ±20mΩ external resistance. Monitor temperature changes. Test concludes when temperature drops 20% from peak or after 24 hours. Qualified batteries show no fire/explosion and remain below 150℃.
Temperature coefficient of wire resistivity should be less than 5x10¯³℃¯¹ (e.g., constantan wire).
High Temperature External Short Circuit
Follow same procedure as normal temperature test but conduct at 55℃±5. Same qualification criteria apply - no fire/explosion and temperature below 150℃.
Short Circuit Function under Short Circuit Protection
Conduct 500-cycle test sequence: short circuit opposite and negative poles with output terminal in protection circuit, wait 1 minute after protection activation. Maintain 80mΩ±20mΩ external resistance throughout. Device must function properly in each cycle.
