IEC 60695-10-2:2014 Ball Pressure Tester With Test Specimen Support / Hot Deformation Capacity Tester
This Ball Pressure Tester applicable to assessment of heat-resistant fro all insulation materials of electrical enclosure, external components and plastic. Trial is that the sample placed on the platform of inside constant temperature under 125±2Degree, coupled with the ball-side of tester suppressing the specimen, remove the specimen and put into the cold water for 10 seconds after 1 hour, and then measuring Sag values, indentation of ball diameter shall not exceed 2mm.

The test specimen support shall be such that
1. it rigidly supports the test specimen in a horizontal position.
2. It has sufficientstrength to support the loading device.
3. It has a smooth flat surface.
4. It has sufficiently large mass to prevent a significant reduction in temperature of the apparatus during the installation and removal of the test specimen from the heating oven.
NOTE It has been found useful to mount a separate thermocouple in the certer of the test specimen support approximately 3mm below the surface to check that the temperature of the test specimen support does not significantly deviate from the test temperature.
8.2 Heating oven and test apparatus setup
Conduct the test method in air,in a heating oven(see 5.3) at a temperature specified in the relavant specification(within a tolerance of ±2℃) measured within 50mm of the approximate center of the test specimen.The test specimen support and loading device shall be preheated at the test temperature for a minimum of 3h
