Hysteresis Dynamometers (HD Series) are versatile and ideal for low to medium power tests. Hysteresis brakes do not rely on speed to generate torque, so full-scale testing from no load to stall can be performed. Brake cooling is provided by convection cooling (no air supply) or air cooling (compressed air AHD series or blower BHD series). Hysteresis dynamometers have intermittent and short-term emission of more heat. range.
